Modeling mycorrhizal networks

Much of my dissertation focuses on the role of ‘neighbors’ in shaping the structure and functions of mycorrhizal networks. In this project, I break from my path as an empericist and instead work with a mathematical model made up of a system of ordinary differential equations. In this model, we manipulate the degree of connectivity between cooccuring plant-fungal pairs as well as the ability of members within the network to assess partner quality (which we refer to as ROI).
